2016

Our Elderberry Cordial hit the shelves just in time for the cold winter nights...

The 2016 elderflower harvest came around quickly and seemed very promising, with swathes of huge lacy elderflowers adorning the hedgerows. However, torrential rain battered the flowers and soon put a halt to production. We resumed as soon as the flowers recovered and managed to bottle what will hopefully be enough to keep all our customers happy until next year, fingers crossed!

Thanks to Alanna, Joe, Leanne, Margaret, Páid, Seán and Suzie for all their hard work and willingness to work long hours to get the job done.

April 2016 - The Taste of Dublin - We were informed that we were selected as finalists in a competition to win a stand at the Taste of Dublin. It was sponsored by Bank of Ireland and a camera crew came to Richmount to film a short video about our elderflower production, where we had to ask people to vote for us online. It may be a bit dated now that the competition is over, but this short video will give you a flavour of who we are and what we do.

April 2016 - Good Food Ireland launched their Food Tours programme in Dublin's Merrion Hotel and we and other Good Food Ireland artisan producers catered for the event. We were honoured to meet the U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin O'Malley and to hear about his Irish heritage.

March 2016 - Longford Enterprise Awards
We were so thrilled to be runners-up in the Longford Enterprise Awards, now in its 15th year. We are seen here being presented with our award by Cllr. Gerry Warnock Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council, Dr. Maureen Gaffney and Head of Enterprise, Michael Nevin. Read their citation on the Reviews page.
